What this one is for

A 25 second timer is a plank progression. Twenty five seconds is the honest step between fifteen and thirty, the one you add when thirty collapses your hips and fifteen has stopped being hard.

It is also a hollow hold, a dead hang, and a work bout just over the Tabata twenty for anyone building towards a longer format.

Press Space to start. The beep at zero is the cue to put your knees down, and the screen stays awake while it runs.

Good for

  • Plank and side plank progressions
  • Hollow holds and dead hangs
  • Work bouts above 20 seconds
  • Rest between short sprints

03

How it runs

Counts down 25 sec, then beeps. Press Start, or hit Space. The digits turn green while a work block runs and grey on rest.

Sound is on by default: a rising pair for work, a falling pair for rest, a tick for the last three seconds and a three-note finish. Mute with the speaker button. The screen stays on while the timer runs and the tab title shows the time left.

Change anything in Settings under the timer. The last setup you used on this page is remembered in your browser.

Questions people ask

Is 25 seconds a useful plank step?
Yes. Adding five or ten seconds at a time holds form better than jumping from fifteen straight to a minute.
Can I loop it with a rest?
Yes, the interval timer repeats work and rest pairs and beeps at each switch.
Will it beep if I switch tabs?
The countdown is timestamp based so it never drifts, and the beep plays while the tab is open or the moment you come back.
Can I change the duration?
Yes, set any number of seconds, or use the 20 and 30 second pages.
