What this one is for
A 5 minute timer is the most useful five minutes you can borrow. It is the hard boiled egg lower bound, the rice rest, the stretch you keep skipping, and the standard answer to "just five more minutes" before you actually get up.
It is also the classic procrastination hack. Tell yourself you will only work for five minutes, start the timer, and see what happens at zero.
Space starts and pauses. The tab title counts down so you can work in another window, and the alarm beeps when time is up.

Good for
- A five minute focus warmup
- Letting rice rest off the heat
- Guided breathing or stretching
- Short break between work blocks
03
How it runs
Counts down 5 min, then beeps. Press Start, or hit Space. The digits turn green while a work block runs and grey on rest.
Sound is on by default: a rising pair for work, a falling pair for rest, a tick for the last three seconds and a three-note finish. Mute with the speaker button. The screen stays on while the timer runs and the tab title shows the time left.
Change anything in Settings under the timer. The last setup you used on this page is remembered in your browser.
