What this one is for
A 16 minute timer is four Tabata blocks back to back, four minutes of work each, which is about the ceiling before the intervals stop being intervals. It is also the honest length of a sixteen minute AMRAP once you stop rounding.
In the kitchen, sixteen minutes is brown rice that needs longer than white, and a jacket potato finished in a hot oven after the microwave.
Space starts and pauses. The tab title carries the count, the screen stays awake, and a beep lands at zero.

How it runs
Counts down 16 min, then beeps. Press Start, or hit Space. The digits turn green while a work block runs and grey on rest.
Sound is on by default: a rising pair for work, a falling pair for rest, a tick for the last three seconds and a three-note finish. Mute with the speaker button. The screen stays on while the timer runs and the tab title shows the time left.
Change anything in Settings under the timer. The last setup you used on this page is remembered in your browser.
Questions people ask
- Can I get the 20/10 beeps across the whole sixteen minutes?
- Yes. The Tabata timer loops twenty on and ten off and calls each switch, so you can run several blocks without restarting.
- Will it still ring if I switch tabs?
- The countdown is timestamp based and never drifts. The beep plays while the tab is open, or the instant you switch back.
- Can I change it to 15 or 20 minutes?
- Yes, adjust the duration on the timer or open the 15 and 20 minute pages.
- Do I need an account?
- No login, no install, and no ads in your way.
